The Preview window (bottom area by default) shows the run's browsers live (KasmVNC in an iframe). You can watch, take control with mouse and keyboard, and open a browser before any run to get it ready.
Browser tabs
The top of the Preview tab has one tab per browser the run opened or you opened, named by its name: x, shopee, threads, default… (the node's browser setting; see Browsers).
A pulsing dot marks the browser the run is acting in right now.
Tabs stay until you close them (✕ on the tab), even when the run ends or a new one starts. Closing a tab disconnects its live view. A closed browser comes back when you open it from a node, or when a run waits for you in it.
Which browser shows
| You did | The preview shows |
|---|---|
| Nothing | The browser the run is acting in (it follows the run between browsers). |
| Clicked a tab | That browser, and it stays there while you browse, even if the run moves. |
| Clicked the tab with the dot | Back to following the run. |
| The run is in a browser you closed | The first open tab. |
Every live view you opened stays connected in the background, so switching tabs (or hiding the window and showing it again) shows it at once instead of loading again.
Per-browser options (⋯)
The ⋯ menu on the right of the tab bar applies to the browser on screen; each browser keeps its own choice.
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
| Show preview | On: connect the live view. Off: disconnect it to save bandwidth. A new browser starts off; the middle of the view then offers a Show preview button. |
| Take control | Mouse and keyboard reach the browser. Off, you only watch, so a stray click can't throw the automation off. It is always on while the run waits for you in that browser. |
| Open in a new tab | The same live view in a full browser tab (the link is signed and expires in 1 hour). |
Open a browser from a node
Every node has an Open browser button (the window icon on the card, visible on hover before a run, and in the node menu):
| Node | Opens |
|---|---|
| A node that already ran | The browser it acted in. |
| Any other node | The browser its Browser setting names (𝕏 nodes x, Shopee nodes shopee), else the flow's default, without a run. |
Opening without a run starts the browser's container if it is stopped, then opens its tab with the preview and control on, so you can sign in, accept cookies, solve a captcha or check a page before you run. It uses the same check as a run, so a missing required field or account shows that error instead.
Example: before starting 𝕏 Auto Reply with Shopee on, hover the Sign in to Shopee node, press the window icon, scan Shopee's QR code in the live view. The test run later finds the Shopee session ready (a campaign has its own browsers and signs in on its first run).
When the run needs you
On Needs you, the editor shows the Preview window on the browser the run waits in, with Take control forced on. Do what the message asks, then press its button (Done, Approve, Reject…) (see ).
How it works
-
The page asks the engine for a signed live link:
POST /browser/<id>/livewith{ "access": "view" | "control", "ttlMs": 3600000 }. -
The engine answers with a URL whose path carries the signed token (no cookies, so it works inside an iframe):
{ "url": "https://engine.example.com/browser/<id>/live/<payload>.<signature>/?path=…/websockify#resize=scale&enable_webp=false", "expiresAt": 1793167566319 } -
The engine proxies the KasmVNC page and its websocket to the container. View links log in as KasmVNC's read-only user; control links as the read-write user.
-
resize=scalefits the remote screen (1366×768 by default) to the panel.enable_webp=falseavoids a Chrome bug that left view-only screens black.
To revoke every link handed out for a browser: DELETE /browser/<id>/live (closes open live sockets too). See .
FAQ
The preview is black or says "Opening preview" for long.
The container may still be starting (up to about 90 s on a cold start). If it stays black, close the tab and open the browser again from a node.
Can two people watch the same run?
Yes. Each viewer gets their own signed link; only control links can type or click.
Why did my tab not switch when the run moved to Shopee?
You picked a tab, so the preview stays where you are browsing. Click the tab with the dot to follow the run again.
